I don't understand why they won't open for in-store. I want to look at stuff in person before I decide what to buy for my projects. I will go to a big box chain store instead. I've tried to buy things here a couple times and it's just too hard because I can't look at anything in person.
I placed an order in 2021 with Seattle fabrics. Prior to the order I emailed twice with some questions. They never replied. Undeterred, I ordered anyway. It took some weeks to ship, despite the estimate being much quicker.
When I eventually received my order, there were two significant mistakes with it. One was the wrong colour, and item was missing entirely. I emailed Seattle Fabrics (what companies use msn‽) to let them know. They ignored me. I emailed again, they ignored me again.
I can't recommend a company who ignores all emails, even when they've shipped the wrong product. Avoid.
I was trying to place an order on line but couldn't get the 'add to cart' to add. I registered and looked to see if I had missed something and then tried again with the same results. The 'items in cart' tap on the right vertical margin seemed active but on my third try I still could not complete my order. I gave them a call and was told that they would be happy to take my order over the phone but were not allowed to give tech advice for online ordering. My list was long and detailed so I opted out by telling the associate that I would order some place else. She was very pleasant and agreeable to my choice. I wished her a good day then hung up.
The fix for my problem was probably a one or two sentence solution so it prompted me into leaving a review. Business must be good for Seattle Fabrics to dump a customer who just needed a simple fix. Sign of the times I suppose. Lol
Not actually open for store visits. As if I’d buy any boating fabrics without being able to see it in person first. Off to another store to do business!
Man, only 4 stars because they still aren't open for people to go in and shop. Sometimes you gotta feel the fabric, see how it moves. Best fabric shop for outdoor stuff, hands down.
Incredible selection of materials. Got my order extremely quickly. Great service was ready super quick!
They have a wild selection of specialty fabrics of all kinds, including wetsuit, sailing, and outdoor fabrics. If you want the most cheap, basic broadcloth or cotton, you will find a better price at Joann's, but if you want anything for a project requiring quality, you'll find it here.
they are not actually open except for online. Seattle fabrics and google, get your act together and have it so Google shows the store shows as closed and people don't walk a mile and a half to get there.
